Our Chapter tries to create an environment that nurtures positive identity by recognizing and appreciating the value of differences in each other and the world. We provide exposure to culturally diverse peoples and events, which broaden our perspective, promote awareness and teach cultural sensitivity. Some time-honored NCL, Inc., traditions, such as our annual Mother-Daughter Tea and Style Show, are cultural activities designed to teach members etiquette, graciousness, self-assuredness in social settings, good manners and respect of others. Our annual Mother-Daughter Tea is held in December by class. In January our 11th grade class participate in a style show as models, runway coordinators and backstage managers. The six year Mother-Daughter experience culminates in a ceremony for the 12th graders called Senior Recognition held in March. At this event, Seniors and their mothers are celebrated for their service and commitment to NCL, Inc.
